Budapest Metropolitan University is outstanding in thenumber of students entered in national and international academic competitions.

For students who want to challenge themselves outside thewalls of the university, METU is a great place to be. This was the case inFebruary 2019, when a team of four students, including the faculty of Arts andEconomics, joined forces to compete. Our task was nothing less than to make theworld a better, easier and more livable place by combining ArtificialIntelligence, broadband internet and high-end technology. The event in questionwas the prestigious global IT competition, Microsoft AI Guardian.

As for me, it was a great honour to be part of this trulyextraordinary experience. In addition to being a semi-finalist, the idea thatwe submitted together with the team and then presented as a demo afterdevelopment, also meant a future relationship based on trust and respect.

Following the competition, Milán pursued his dream ofbecoming a professional designer and strategist, which has taken him all theway to scale agencies and major national brands.

As for me, I was invited by Microsoft Hungary's main contactfor AI Guardian for my performance in the Microsoft International ITCompetition. After the recruitment rounds, I got a real dream come true, as Iwas recruited to the Education team, where I was part of the management of thelocal AI Knowledge Centres for more than two and a half years.

And in early 2022, the path of self-employment and the"multinational" post-Hungarian-American dream met.

Since the beginning of the year 22, we have been a team,just like we did at university, back in our undergraduate days. Since then,scale agency is not only a dream but also an emerging reality. The agency isgrowing, expanding and, thanks to Milán's vision, reaching ever higher levels.

To end with a quote that ties in nicely with the littlestory above:

"If you go to an event and don't find $10,000, you'vebeen blind and you've gone for nothing."

Aside from the heavily money-centric approach, this is apretty apt thought. Perhaps it could be said that at the time, at the event, wedidn't know where that particular "wad of cash" was. But now it's nolonger a question that we both found it...
